Transformative trauma therapy to heal emotional distress through bilateral stimulation.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful and evidence-based therapy designed to help you process unresolved trauma, emotional pain, and deeply held distress that may be impacting your present life. Originally developed to treat PTSD, EMDR has since become a trusted and transformative approach for healing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

Using bilateral stimulation - such as guided eye movements, tapping, or audio tones - we help the brain access and reprocess traumatic or painful memories in a safe and contained way. These memories, which may have been stored in the nervous system as "stuck" emotional experiences, are gradually released, reorganised, and integrated, reducing their emotional intensity and impact.

EMDR is especially effective for:

  • Single-event or complex trauma

  • PTSD and emotional flashbacks

  • Childhood neglect or abuse

  • Anxiety, phobias, or panic responses

  • Grief, guilt, and unresolved emotional pain

  • Self-esteem issues rooted in past experiences

  • Distressing memories that still feel “alive” in your body or mind

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR does not require you to go into detailed descriptions of your past. It is a structured and gentle approach that honours your nervous system’s capacity while promoting deep emotional shifts. Over time, many clients report feeling more emotionally regulated, resilient, and at peace - often describing a renewed sense of clarity, self-trust, and inner calm.

Sessions are delivered online via Zoom, using simple but effective bilateral stimulation techniques adapted for virtual sessions. You’ll be guided every step of the way in a trauma-informed, compassionate environment that puts your safety and emotional well-being first.

An initial consultation is required for new clients to assess suitability and readiness for EMDR.
Out-of-hours sessions may be available by special request via the contact form.
